[For a moment when the PCD clicks on all the user hears is the static of the audio. Crackling of movement in whatever place the person found themselves in.]

Oh! I think that's it-- [The exclamation was quiet, barely audible, but the feed comes on to video to show the young girl. If possible, her features hold a quiet sort of worry.]

If anyone can hear this, my name is Hotaru Tomoe. I'm not sure how I got here... but even I can guess I won't go home soon. Who would do something like this? I hope everyone's alright... Oh, it seems silly talking to this without knowing if anyone else can hear-- Haruka-papa, Michiru-mama, Set-- [She shakes her head in resolve, hand pressed to her chest, Hotaru puts on her best face.]

If someone can really hear, please, tell me about this place.

[For a few moments, Hotaru's face falters and then she shakes her head.]

Oh, please don't worry. You and the others are here [And Haruka-papa, but we won't go there.]

[But it's her job to bring them all together; and she can't say she's done very well at it here. She seems to have lost the ability to keep them as a cohesive group, as a close-knit team. She worries that sometimes.

But right now, her worry is for Hotaru.]

Hey, I'm almost there, alright? Just another minute and I'll give you a big hug and tell you everything.

[The thing about the senshi, as Hotaru has long since learned, is that they will stand by their princess even when fighting among themselves. Even when the outers just did there own thing.

She trusted Usagi, too.

So it was with a placated worried look she nods.]

Okay. I'll be right here.

[She's already bundling up against the cold, setting the communicator somewhere she can still see it and talk with Hotaru while she gets ready.]

Um... And Hotaru-chan... I know it kind of looks bad right now here, but we'll rebuild it. [No need for Saturn quite yet. Really!]

[Hotaru, on the other hand, is pulling on the sleeves of the thin coat she was wearing as she peered curiously around.]

[Turning her attention to the princess when she spoke, Hotaru's worries washed throw her.]

What happened to it, Usagi-san?

[There's no real way to avoid saying it, and Usagi says it rather bluntly for her.]

There were a lot of fires, just a short while ago. Everyone is still trying to figure things out and rebuild.

[But how could a lot of fires cause this much damage, Usagi-saaaan. She shakes her head, and puts up that brave face.]

Everyone must be having a hard time right now. If we work together, things can be fixed.

[Oh, Hotaru. You sound just like her, and it's hurt when even close friends have pushed that aside, or even tried to break it down. It makes her want to protect Hotaru from the same.]

You're right. [She keeps her voice gentle.] That's why we've all been trying to find a solution together. I still believe that we can some day.

[Well, she did learn from the best, after all.]

We'll have to. 'Start by doing what's necessary, then what's possible.'

I see you! [And excitedly, she waves her arms over her head, making a dizzying display on the video- but there she is!]

So first of all, we'll start by going back to the temple. [Have a smile. And arms out for a hug.]

[The small soldier looks up fast from the PCD when she hears Usagi's voice. Giggling a little, despite the seriousness of the situation, she stuffed the communicator in the pocket of the shawl she were.]

[Before she responds... fine, Usagi, have her throw her arms around you. She is technically about nine and was alone.]

Alright, Usagi-san. That's where everyone is?

[It feels so gratifying. Usagi hugs tight to Hotaru in return, without letting go even as they keep talking.]

It is. But let's just... Let me stay like this a little while longer. [Her voice is gentle despite that clinginess.]

[Their princess is concerning her, but she nods against the other female. She knew Usagi by now, of course, to some marginal degree. The paramountal duty overriding.]

Maybe we can do something nice, Usagi-san.

Maybe sometime soon. I'd like that. [Though with as much as they have to take care of right now, even she has trouble justifying much in the way of fun or extras.]

[Hotaru hadn't meant right then, of course, but the larger part of her wanted to make sure their princess was alright.]

[After a moment, she does pull away and manage that small, sensible smile.]

Maybe we should go?

Right! [And to cheer them both up, Usagi reaches for Hotaru's hand as she starts to paint a pleasant picture of daily life at the temple.]

You can see your old room and live there again. We have a lot of your things from back then still, too! And you can play with Chibiusa.

[While she easily enough takes Usagi's hands, Hotaru has to pause at her words.]

My old room? I don't remember being here before, Usagi-san. [And it's concerning. Because she trusts and believes in her princess, but that's weird.]

I know. When people come back, they don't remember.

[Over and over and over again, she relives the girls forgetting her after the battle with Beryl and Metalia, as each new handful of friends arrives again with no memories of her or knowing her or being friends at all.

How many times can she keep smiling and saying 'we'll start from the beginning then'?]

[She doesn't like that. At all. How many have come and left their princess? How hurt was she? Hotaru peers up at her and then nods.]

I will keep you company while I'm here. It's our time now that matters.

Mm. [Usagi nods quickly; agreement in that is easy.]

So I'll definitely help take care of you, and make sure you're happy, as long as you're here, alright?

Oh! Please don't worry about me.

Isn't it alright if I want to be with you and help you out? You're a very brave and strong girl, but everybody needs help sometimes.

Usagi-san... Mm, all right. We can help each other.

Good. Because you've already helped me a lot, and I should pay back the favor, shouldn't I? [Have a quick, bright smile.]

You're our princess; it's our duty to help you.
